BioDAF has developed a state-of-the-art, proprietary and patent pending technology for the treatment of landfill leachate. This plant is located in the municipal landfill of Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, and has a capacity of treatment of up to 6.34 LPS.
Due to massive amounts of COD (chemical oxygen demand) in leachate and with the ultimate goal of obtaining only the best results, we have developed a State-Of-The-Art process specifically designed to treat this kind of residual water. This unique design is the first of its kind worldwide, and combines the proven technologies of High Speed Ionization, a physical-chemical Dissolved Air Flotation system (DAF), ozonation and as a polishing last-step nano-filtration.
This process exceeds the requirements under Mexican Standard Norm NOM-001, and the US EPA.
